Low blood pressure is controlled according to diastolic pressure of the heart. In low blood pressure, the rat of pumping blood from the heat to the arteries is measured. In this condition, blood pumping ability of the heart is decreased and also blood absorbing ability of the lungs is decreased. Thus there is no as much pressure in the heart as at the time of contraction of it. The difference between contraction and expansion of the heart should be 50 to 60. When this difference is more than it, it is called ‘Low Blood Pressure’.
In this case, the patient becomes fast, but pulse remains thin and weak. Sometimes the patient believes that the weakness and thinness of pulse have occurred due to his tiredness and weakness even in the case of low blood pressure, but in reality, he has suffered from low blood pressure. In this disease, the patient suffers from headache and vertigo.
Cause:-
There are several reasons of low blood pressure. When the patient works more than his ability, his blood pressure becomes low. Blood pressure also becomes low due to eating less, improper diet, worry and any type of surgery. Important drugs for low blood pressure are- Conium, Abies nigra, Digitalis, Kalmia, Gelsemium, Calcarea-phos, Tuberculinum, Radium, Cactus or Acid-phos, etc.
Low blood pressure and drugs used in it:-
1. Conium- Blood pressure becomes low due to old age and the body starts becoming weak; the body starts suffering from deficiency of blood; the organs are become weak; the brain has less blood, thus Conium 200 should be taken in such symptoms, because it acts rapidly on glands and makes low blood pressure normal.
2. Abies nigra- In low blood pressure, heartbeats become slow causes difficulty in breathing and the patient starts taking small breath; he feels as if his heart will stop functioning; the disease is aggravated after taking meals, etc., Abies nigra 30 or 200 should be used.
3. Digitalis- If blood pressure has become low due to heart disease; his pulse rate has become weak and irregular; sometimes pulse rate becomes as slow as if it will stop; with such types of symptoms, the patient has also other symptoms like- swelling in the body, short breathing, taking deep breath due to feeling difficulty in breathing, etc., Digitalis 3 should be used. After taking this drug, pulse rate becomes fast and heartbeats become normal.
4. Kalmia- If the patient is suffering from weak pulse rate and improper circulation of blood in his veins, feeling nervousness with fast heartbeats by any type of physical movement, panting and difficulty in breathing, etc., taking Kalmia 6 is very effective. Besides them, this drug is also very useful in fast heartbeats, panting, and low blood pressure of rheumatic patient.
5. Gelsemium- Low blood pressure occurs due to lethargy, laziness, careless about his disease, fear, exciting news, etc. In the case of low blood pressure occurring due to these reasons, the patient has symptoms like- vertigo, heavy head, heavy eyelids, pain in the temples that is moved to the ear and nose, feels as if his heart will stop functioning by any type of movement, slow pulse rate but becomes fast just after little movement and feels lethargy and laziness. In such symptoms, using Gelsemium 1, 3 or 30 makes low blood pressure normal.
6. Calcarea-phos- If such symptoms of low blood pressure are found in a person who is physically weak, tired or who grow soon, Calcarea- phos 3x or 30 should be taken.
7. Radium- If the patient of low blood pressure is suffering from vertigo, pain in the entire body, restlessness, getting relief by walking and moving, heaviness on the upper part (crown) of the head, etc., Radium 12x or 30 should be used for making low blood pressure normal.
The mother tincture of Cactus glandiflorus-
If the patient has become irritable temperament, remains sad, does talk to others and likes to live in alone, remains worry all the time and become angry if someone tries to talk him; in such symptoms, if he does not eat food, pain starts in his head, etc., giving Cactus glandiflorus 3 or its mother tincture is very effective.
Mother tincture of Crategus-
If the patient has suffered from low blood pressure due to weakness of the heart, using this drug is appropriate. In other symptoms like- malfunctioning of the heart, slow pulse rate and sometimes feels as if pulse has stopped, pain in the heart, etc., taking the mother tincture of Crategus is beneficial and heartbeats become normal.
Making blood pressure normal by some ayurvedic medicines:-
If a person has suffered from low blood pressure, following drugs should be taken-
Store after crushing 5 g of partial roasted aniseed, 5 g of rose flower, 5 g of the flower of banphase, 5 g of a special preparation of cooked vegetables, 10 g of almonds without peels, 5 g of small cardamom (grains), 20 g of sugar candy, etc. altogether. Taking this preparation with a tea spoon of cow’s milk twice a day makes low blood pressure normal. Along with it, the patient should take nutritive diet.
