Shock (apoplexy)

It occurs in human when the brain does not get enough (an appropriate amount of) blood, if the brain does not able get oxygen (blood) in an appropriate amount, it is not able to work properly. If any type of obstruction occurs in its path, apoplexy occurs. The cells of the brain start to die if it does not get oxygen (blood) for more than 3 minutes and apoplexy occurs. There are two types apoplexy and both the types can be responsible for death.

If only ¾ section of the brain get enough blood (oxygen), it is called chhichhra (the cellular membrane covering the skin) apoplexy. It occurs in human when cellular membrane is stuck in the blood vessels of the brain. In this attack, sometimes the symptoms appear slowly.

The other type of apoplexy occurs when the brain gets any injury that causes internal hemorrhage in to the brain due to bursting the blood vessels or weak blood vessels. It helps in the accumulation of blood in the brain resulting pressure of it is increased on that place and the cells responsible for few essential functions are start to die. This type of attack (apoplexy) is very dangerous and it can be also responsible for patient death.

Cause:

  • Fast circulation blood in the brain.
  • Contraction of blood vessels or obstruction in it due to persisting additional fat in the blood vessels.
  • High blood pressure.
  • Much pressure in the blood vessels of the brain.
  • Getting hurt in the brain by any thing.
  • Smoking and taking alcohol excessively.
  • Using additional contraceptic peels.
  • Hereditary reason.

  • To cure headache of the patient suffering from apoplexy, use hot fomentation.
  • The women who are suffering from hereditary attack of apoplexy should not take contraceptic peels.
  • Careful about cleanliness of the room in which apoplexy patient has kept.
  • The patient skin should be kept clean and dry.
  • Salad, chapatti (bread) of wheat flour, green vegetables, etc. should be taken.
