Earache is caused in the lower part of the ear in some peoples and in some peoples, it is caused in karn guhika, tympanic membrane or due to other disease; it occurs on the ear as several symptoms. Mostly, it occurs in small children. In this disease, children feel unbearable pain.
Cause:-
- Earache can occur due to several reasons like-
- Getting any type of hurt on the ear.
- Getting direct hurt on the tympanic membrane.
- Getting hurt on the drum of the ear while cleaning it with pin or match stick.
- Getting infection of fungus, bacteria or virus, etc. inside the ear.
- Appearing eruptions inside or outside of the ear.
- Thickening additional dirty in the ear.
- Entering any substance in the ear like- grain, insects or seed, etc.
- Occurring disease like- decaying teeth, hollowness of the tooth, appearing boils in the gums, exposure to cold, coughing, fever or measles, etc.
- Any disease can occur in the ear due to scratching it again and again resulting earache.
- Earache can occur due to moving dirt of the ear and eruptions of the ear.
- Earache can occur due to small pox.
Symptoms:-
Due to earache, sometimes pus also starts to flow from the ear, swelling comes on the ear, and the ear becomes red. Sometimes, the patient feels difficulty in hearing due to earache. Sometimes, burning sensation also occurs in the ear due to earache. Sometimes, pain is moved to the root of the tooth.
Treatment of this disease with different drugs:-
- Aconite- If pain is occurring in the ear due to exposure to cold or cold air, Aconite 3 should be used at an interval of every 1-1 hour. If earache is caused due to entering cold water in the ear, Aconite 3x is very useful. If earache occurs due to spermotorrhoea, Aconite 3x should be used to cure it.
- Chamomilla- If violent pain is occurring in the ear of the children that becomes smart by hot fomentation, Chamomilla 6 can be used for the treatment of it. This drug should be used at an interval of every 2-2 hours.
- Pulsatilla- If Aconite is failed in curing earache, Pulsatilla 3 should be used at an interval of every 1-1 hour, but the following symptoms are also considered like- flowing thick, yellow pus with burning sensation from the ear and pain like snatching also occur in the ear, 3x potency of this drug is very useful.
- Belladonna- If cutting pain occurs in the ear or like inserting nail, 3 potency of this drug should be used at an interval of every 2-2 hours is very useful to remove such symptoms. If Puls makes no impression, this drug can be used.
- Gelsemium- If a woman is feeling earache due to suppressed menses, taking 30 potency of this drug is beneficial to cure this pain.
- Hepar-sulph- If substance like cheese is coming out from the ear due to boils in it with coming offensive smell and if fine pieces of ear bone also found in pus, Hepar-sulph 30 is used.
- Arnica- If the patient is feeling pain in the ear due to getting hurt in it, using 3 potency of this drug is beneficial for the treatment of this disease.
- Apis- If pain like sting occurs in the ear, using 3 potency of this drug is very effective to cure this disease.
- Puls- In the case of earache, Puls 3 should be taken and the ear should be closed with cotton after dripping few drops of Mullen oil on it.
- Merc-sol- If earache occurs due to toothache, taking Merc-sol 6 is beneficial for the treatment of it. Chamomilla 12 can be also very useful in such symptoms.
- Capsicum- If the patient feels pain in the ear as if something is pricking in it, taking Capsicum 6 is beneficial to remove this type of pain.
- Phytolacca- If both the ears feel pain while swallowing anything, Phytolacca 3 is used for the treatment of such symptoms of the patient.
- Arsenic- pain with burning sensation occurs in the ear, Arsenic 3 can be used for the treatment of it.
Other treatment:-
- If earache starts due to dirt in the ear, it should be cleaned carefully.
- Do not use matchstick or pin to remove dirt or any outer things. It can create other problems.
- After taking bath, ears should be cleaned properly, because due to water inside the ear can helps in infection of that place.
- In the condition of hoarseness, gargle with lukewarm water, because sometimes hoarseness can be also responsible for earache.
- If violent pain occurs in the ear and the reason of it does not find out, consult a doctor immediately and should take treatment.
