GUIDING SYMPTOMS:

  • Restlessness: The patient exhibits great restlessness and must keep moving, as staying in one position causes pain.
  • Stiffness: There is significant stiffness, especially after long periods of rest or in the morning upon waking.
  • Sore and Dry Tongue: The tongue appears dry, sore, and often has imprints of the teeth on the sides, similar to Podophyllum.
  • Cramps and Paralysis: Especially in the lower limbs, Helleborus is indicated when there is paralysis or cramping of the muscles.
  • Chilly Sensation: The patient is very sensitive to cold and feels cold, even in warm environments.
  • Despondency and Melancholy: A sense of gloom and despair prevails, with a tendency to fall into deep sadness and hopelessness.
  • Nausea and Vomiting: Associated with vertigo, nausea, and a feeling of stomach upset.
  • Gastrointestinal Symptoms: Diarrhea with undigested food, often accompanied by cramping and pain in the abdomen.

FEVER:

  • Intermittent Fever:

    • Before Chill: Dry, teasing cough with a sensation of blood in the throat.
    • During Chill: Intense thirst, with a dry tongue and mouth.
    • Heat Stage: Blisters or sores appear around the mouth, causing a burning sensation.
    • Sweat Stage: Excessive exhaustion, with relief from fever following the sweat stage.
  • Remittent and Continuous Fever:
