INTRODUCTION
:- It is a great polychrest remedy
:- Acts mainly on the nervous system, spinal cord, cerebrospinal system, and nerve centers
:- Suited for children, overworked individuals, and those with suppressed eruptions or discharges
GUIDING SYMPTOMS
- Cannot tolerate suppression of eruptions or discharges — leads to brain affections
- Restless feet, must keep moving even during sleep (compare: Tarentula, Ars)
- Twitchings, jerks, and involuntary movements especially in lower limbs
- Patient becomes worse mentally and physically after exhaustion or mental strain
- Child becomes dull, stupid, and cold, looks pale and lies quiet when sick
- Brain affections after suppressed exanthema (Measles, Chickenpox) or scarlatina
- Constant motion of feet in bed (even during sleep)
- General weakness and fatigue, especially of the spinal cord and extremities
- Hyperesthesia of skin along the spine
- Twitching of single muscles; chorea from fright or suppressed eruptions
- Weak memory, cannot remember names or words
- Urine involuntary while coughing or sneezing
- Headache from eye strain, school children with overuse of mind
- Sensitive to noise, light, touch, especially during headache
- Burning along the spine
- Formication in limbs (as if insects crawling)
- Complaints are worse from wine, stimulants, and mental exertion
