KEYNOTE SYMPTOMS

  • Rapid emaciation despite good appetite
  • Persistent burning in internal parts, esp. chest and stomach
  • Chronic catarrhal inflammation, thick yellow mucus
  • Constant discharge, acrid and corrosive
  • Destructive processes – ulcers, glandular swellings, cachexia

CLINICAL INDICATIONS

Respiratory:

  • Chronic bronchitis, especially in old people
  • Tuberculosis, advanced stage, with night sweats, weakness, wasting
  • Thick, yellow, gluey expectoration with marked dyspnea
  • Persistent cough, especially worse at night

Glandular:

  • Enlarged lymph nodes, hard and suppurating
  • Scrofulous glands, abscesses that ulcerate
  • Chronic skin ulcers with yellow discharge

Mind:

  • Restlessness, similar to Arsenicum album
  • Irritable, depressed, impulsive, suspicious

Generalities:

  • Rapid weight loss, cachexia
  • Burning pains, worse at night
  • Great exhaustion after slight exertion
  • Alternating symptoms: skin and respiratory affections
