Keynote Symptoms:
- Extreme fear of downward motion — child clings to mother when lowered
- Startles easily, especially while being laid down
- Aphthae in mouth – white ulcers on tongue, inner cheeks, bleeding easily
- Nose, mouth, ears – mucous membranes very sensitive
- Leucorrhoea like white of egg, stringy and copious
Clinical Indications:
Pediatrics:
- Nervous infants with sudden jerks or starts
- Cries when laid down as if falling
- Aphthous stomatitis with tenderness and bleeding
- Diarrhea with mucous stools, in dentition period
Female Complaints:
- Leucorrhoea – albuminous, thick, profuse, worse after menses
- Menses too soon, profuse, with colic and dragging in groin
- Membranous dysmenorrhea
Respiratory:
- Dry cough with sensation of vapor in trachea
- Voice hoarse, rawness in larynx
Skin:
- Unhealthy skin, small ulcers with red base
- Eczema, especially behind ears in children
Mental State:
- Irritable, nervous, frightened easily
- Sensitive to sudden noises like a gunshot or door slam
- Anxious expression, especially in children
