Respiratory Tract Disorders
- Croup, laryngitis, hoarseness with rough barking cough
- Dry, hoarse cough worse from cold air
- Threatened suppuration in the throat or tonsils
- Asthma worse in dry cold wind
- Chest feels splinter-like pain on coughing
Skin and Abscesses
- Tendency to form pus – boils, abscesses, ulcers
- Suppurative skin diseases; sensitive to touch
- Furuncles that are slow to heal
- Promotes ripening of abscesses
ENT Conditions
- Otitis media, ear discharges offensive, thick yellow
- Sinusitis, nasal polyps, nose ulcers with pus
- Painful toothache, < from cold air, > from warmth
Hypersensitivity
- To touch, pain, noise, cold air, and mental impressions
- Even a slight draft causes illness
- Extremely chilly, wants to be covered in warm clothing
Characteristic Symptoms
- "As if a splinter is stuck" in the affected part (throat, ears, etc.)
- Profuse sweat, offensive in odor
- Unhealthy skin – slight injuries suppurate
- Pus-forming remedy – begins where Belladonna and Mercurius end

- Best used in 6C, 12C, 30C for suppuration
- In early abscess or threatening pus formation, 30C is ideal
- Q is not used (as it's a mineral combination)
