- Thermal: Chilly, oversensitive to cold

Keynote Symptoms:
- Chilly, weak, and exhausted patients with enlarged glands and emaciation
- Acts deeply on heart, especially in cardiac dropsy, palpitations & mitral lesions
- Used in scrofulous & tubercular constitutions with glandular enlargements
Clinical Indications:
Cardiac Complaints:
- Weak heart with palpitations from least exertion
- Cardiac dropsy, mitral valve disease, dilated heart
- Heart affections with cold extremities, dyspnea, faintness
- Pulse: Irregular, weak, intermitting
Tubercular Diathesis:
- Emaciated children with enlarged cervical glands, sweaty head
- Tendency to chronic chest affections, e.g., asthma, phthisis
- Night sweats, repeated colds, and poor vitality
Nervous System:
- Epilepsy, petit mal, grand mal — especially when suppressed eruptions precede
- Complaints < during sleep, or after suppressed eruptions
- Jerking of limbs, spasmodic twitchings
Glands and Bones:
- Chronic glandular swellings (especially cervical or mesenteric)
- Rickets, bone caries in scrofulous children
- Enlarged spleen, especially in malarial patients
Skin & Scrofulous Affections:
- Ulcers with burning pain, foul discharge
- Pustular eruptions, indolent skin lesions
- Skin complaints with thick yellow crusts and itching
Mental Symptoms:
- Fear of death
- Anxiety and restlessness
