Introduction:

• Lachesis is used to cure the symptoms of those patients who feel very sad and disappointed especially after waking up or at the time of more mental tensions.
• Lachesis is also used for blood dissolution like snake poison and makes it more liquid. This drug is used to cure blood poisoning, diphtheria and other stages of diseases.
• If the patient has many disease such as contaminated blood of the body and at the same time, if he likes fan air, but say to run the fan slowly by putting it away and also feels more problems or saffocation if anything comes near the mouth or nose, etc., to cure such symptoms of the patient, Lachesis should be used.
• Lachesis should be used to cure those patients who are lean and thin and whose bones visible from outside and have suffered from weakness physically and mentally due to several types of diseases. Thus, Lachesis should be used to cure such patient and growth of flesh on the body. This drug is also very useful especially for those girls who step in young age; at this time, she is suffered from many diseases.

Use of Lachesis in various symptoms:-

Symptoms related to Mood (mind): -

• If the patient has desire for talking more and blood of the body has contaminated or suffered from diphtheria, feels sad in the morning, does not like to live together, more restlessness and does not like to do any work, always like to live alone, become jealous, he is able to do mental works properly at night, sometime he likes to commit sucide and fears from fire at night,insanity, problems in understanding time, etc., to cure such symptoms, Lachesis should be used.

Head-related symptoms:-

• If the patient has any symptoms such as headache while waking at night, pain in the nose tube, pressure and burning sensation on the upper part of the head, headache is accompanied by waves and increase by motion, he feels violent headache in the evening, black spots appear below the eyes, reduces eyesight and face turns in yellow, dizziness goes on taking place and gets some relief after menses begins, etc., to cure symptoms of the patient, Lachesis should be used.

Eyes-related symptoms:-

• In this case, patient is suffering from weak eyesight after diphtheria, pain in the outer (external) muscles, eyes muscles are as weak as they are not able to handle the ray-centers. Patient feels as if both his eyes are drawing by a rope to each other and rope has tied with knot on the nose root, etc. thus we should use Lachesis to cure such symptoms of patient.

Ears-related symptoms:-

• Sometime patient feels tearing pain from the neck to inside the ear with burning sensation in the throat, internal and upper part of the ear become rigid and dry. If the patient has any symptoms of these types, using Lachesis is beneficial.

Tongue-related symptoms: -

• If the patient feels unconsciousness or effervesces during unconsciousness, tongue becomes dry and black, tongue starts tremoring during coming out, tongue gets stuck under teeth; tongue tremoring and lisp like a drunk are the special symptoms; he feels tongue tremoring during fever, but tongue does not become dry, dirty (dusty), etc., Lachesis should be used to cure such symptoms of the patient.

Symptoms related to the nose: -

• Lachesis is very useful to cure symptoms of the patient when he feels nose bleeding and sensitiveness of the nostrils, corrtah, headache before blowing watery material from the nose, he feels sneezing again and again with hay fever.

Symptoms associated with the face: -

• If the feels pale face and trifacial nuragia and feels warmness in the left side of this part and feel as if this warmness is spreading towards the head, sharp pain in the jaws bones as if that part has been burst, jaw becomes purple, dappled, bloated and swollen, jaundice, few patient suffers from Jaundice with these types of symptoms, etc., Lachesis should be taken to cure such symptoms of the patient.

Mouth-related symptoms: -

• In this case, patient feels swelled, soft and bloody gums, swelled part of the gums become dry and he feels burning sensation in it and some skin of it gets stuck in teeth, blisters and spots with burning sensation appear inside the mouth, he feels nauseate rawness, toothache which spreads to the ears, pain in the facial bones, etc. If a person has any symptoms of these types of mouth-related symptoms, Lachesis should be used to cure such symptoms of the patient.

Neck-related symptoms: -

• In this case, patient feels sharp pain in the neck that becomes violent in the right portion of the neck. The patient suffering from such symptom feels much pain when he swallows liquid substances.

1. Wounds appear in the neck (Prigltundika vidradhi - Kyunsi Perishnsiller Abses).
2. Roots of the ears become swollen and blood becomes poisonous in that bloodvessels.
3. External and internal parts of the ears becomes dry and swollen, diphtheria, membrane of that place becomes blurring, part around the throat turns black, pain aggravates by drinking warm water, sharp burning sensation in the throat, having a habit of expectoration; phlegm goes on sticking in the internal part of the throat which neither comes up nor goes down.
4. Sharp pain takes place in the neck, troubles are aggravated by pressing the affected part, pain becomes intolerable by touching it and the part of the throat is turned in purple and blue. Sometimes patient suffering from such types of symptoms feels as if something has swallowed and that it is important, troubles aggravate by swallow saliva or liquid material.

Stomach-related symptoms:-

1. The patient has desire to take wine and oistrus (snail), feels troubles by eating anythings, feels pain in the internal parts of the stomach and pain aggravates by touching the stomach from outside, feels violent appetite.
2. The patient feels pain in the stomach as if it has pressed by teeth, pressure in the stomach, but gets some relief by taking meals and after few hours, he feels pressure again.
3. The patient feels vibration in the digestive systems and feels much pain by swallowing liquid substance than solid substance.

Abdomen-related symptoms: -

• In this case, the patient feels sensitiveness in his liver, when the area around the waist is touched by something, it becomes unbearable. The stomach is bloated and becomes sensitive; pain goes on taking place in the stomach. Thus, Lachesis should be used to cure such symptoms of the patient.

Symptoms of the urinary bladder: -

• If a person is suffering from black, sticky, dark and irregular urine, feels pricking sensation and pain in the front part of the urinary pipe, feels as if a ball has kept on the urinary bladder, etc., Lachesis should be used to cure such symptoms of the patient.

Stools-related symptoms:

1. The patient is suffering from constipation, smelly stools, anus contraction and feels as if stool will not come out. The patient suffering from such symptoms feels pain as harpoon bury inside the rectum from downwards to upwards when he sneezes and coughs.
2. Blood like charred (burnt) hust flows from the intestines in which, black particles are found.
3. The anus spreads and contracts and turns blue, pain like pricking needle in it by sneezing and coughing, desires for excretion, but does not discharge.

Gynaecology-related symptoms:

1. In this case, a woman have problems related to menses and heart beats does not work properly, she feels much heat, bleeding, sharp pain at the top of the head, attacks of unconsciousness and problems aggravate by the pressure of clothes.
2. Scanty menstrual secretion takes place and for a short time, headache is ameliorated just after sectretion and aggravated when it is suppressed.
3. The left ovary glands are swollen and become tough with violent pain.
4. Burning sensation starts in the breasts and they are turned in blue, pain occurs in the sacrum and anus. The patients suffering from these types of symptoms feels much pain after standup from sitting position (posture).

If a woman has any symptoms of this type, Lachesis should be used to cure her symptoms.

Symptoms related with Male diseases: -

• If a person has more excitement for sexual intercourse, Lachesis should be used to treat that patient.

Symptoms related to the respiratory systems:

1. The patient is suffering from pain on the upper section of the breathing tube by touching them, saffocation while lying down especially when the neck was wrapped with something around it, he has to leave the bed and runs to open the windows
2. The patient feels as if something has entered inside the larynx running throug the neck by which, he thinks that he should take deep breath.
3. Sharp cramping takes place in the heart and several types of breathing troubles start.

If a person has any symptoms of this type, Lachesis should be used to cure his disease.

Heart-related symptoms:-

• At the beginning of menses, patient feels irregular heartbeat with fainting attacks which seem to interfere with the heart beating with persisting impatient. To cure such symptoms of the patient, we should use Lachesis.

Back related symptoms:-

• Sometime, patient feels pain in the nerves of cokiks and feels more trouble after getting up from sitting position resulting he has to sit, more pain in the neck and cervix-spines, sometime, he feels that pain is movable from the back towards the arms, legs, eyes, etc. Thus, to cure such symptoms of the patient, we should use Lachesis.

Symptoms related to the uterus: 

• If the patient feels pain in the uterus which is cured after menses, but pain becomes unbearable by keeping any heavy thing on the uterus, he is not able to bear any kinds of pressure or touch on it, so heavy cloths have to remove from the stomach, because the fabrics (clothes) are caused stimulation of the nerves, etc., we should use Lachesis to cure such symptoms of the patient.

Lung-related symptoms:

• In this case, patient feels inflammation of the lungs and intestinal fever occurs, pus begins to form in the lungs, profuse sweat comes, cough comes out with blood and pus, pain in skin and bones. Thus to cure such symptoms of the patient suffering from symptoms related to the lungs, we should use Lachesis.

Symptoms related to the external organs of the body: 

• If the patient is suffering from sciatica (arthritis) and gets relief by lying down on the right side; pain in the internal parts of the thigh and burning sensation after some times, tads become short, etc., using Lachesis is beneficial to cure such symptoms of the patient.

Sleep-related symptoms:

• In this case, patient feels excessive sleep due to blood poisoning in the body, diphtheria and other disease; he startled suddenly during sleep, feels sleepy, but can not sleep, sleep does not come unwillingly in the evening. Thus Lachesis should be used to cure such types of symptoms.

Liver-related symptoms:

• If the liver becomes as the liver of alcoholics and at the same time, sharp pain takes place in the liver, the liver gets several types of diseases like- blister and wounds, the liver is not paining all the time, pain takes place much in the stomach; pain persists all the time and becomes much violent after eating, etc., to cure such symptoms of the patient, we should use Lachesis.

Symptoms associated with fever:

•  In this case, patient feels coldness on the back, feet become cold like ice, feels fever which is sometimes gets fine, but it comes back again by taking acid material (sour foods), warm sweating from the body, he feels intermittent fever in every spring season. Thus to cure such symptoms of the patient, we should use Lachesis.

Symptoms associated with hemorrhoids (piles): -

• If a person feels pain in the warts of piles during sneeze or cough and it also comes out from the anus, sharp pain in the anus and feels as if his anus has closed, much restlessness, excretion does not take place properly, feels constipation, the anus seems as if it has burnt, etc., Lachesis should be used to cure such symptoms of the patient.

Symptoms related to skin disease:

• Sometimes patient feels warm sweating from the body, skin color becomes purple and blue, abscesses and pimples appear on the skin which does not disappear easily, blue stain falls around abscesses, dark blisters, bed sores (wounds due to excess lying down) with black edges and blue-black swelling, surgical wounds (injury), with such symptoms if a person feels depression and also feels skin wound, glands, cells swelling and vericos alser in the old age, etc., using Lachesis is beneficial to cure such symptoms of the patient.

Aggravation:

•  Symptoms aggravate during sleep, in the spring season, by hot shower, by pressure or constriction, by hot beverages, in the condition of closed eyes, etc.

Amelioration:

• Symptoms start to ameliorate during menstrual flow and by hot fomentation.

Relations: 

1. To cure diseases associated with menses, Cotyledon is used, but we can also use Lachesis to cure same symptoms. Therefore, we can compare some properties of Cotyledon with Lachesis.
2. Symptoms like swollen and painful jaw, wound causing much pain, tearing pain in the head, etc. can be cured with the help of drugs like- Natrum-muriaticum, Nitricum-acidum, Cotel and Amphisbaena. And we can also use Lachesis for same purposes. So we can compare some properties of drugs like- Natrum-muriaticum, Nitricum-acidum, Cotel andAmphisbaena with Lachesis.

Anti-miasmatic medicines:

• Drugs like- Ars, Mercurius, heat, alcohol, salt, etc. are used to remove the harmful effects of Lachesis.

Supplementary:

• Crotalus, Kaskavella, Lycopodium, Hepar, Salamendra.

Inimical drugs: -

• Aceti-acid, Carbolicum-acidum.

Quantity (dose):

• 8th to 200th potency of Lachesis should be used to cure the symptoms of diseases. It should not be repeated again and again.
